Description:
Robber flies (Asilidae) are a widely distributed group of predatory flies that largely inhabit semi-arid and arid regions of the world. Over the past quarter century, there has been a tremendous surge of interest in these flies, both on a taxonomic and biological level. Much of the recent work has been carried out by scientists in Europe, Russia, and North and South America. The research by these asilidologists has appeared in publications scattered across the globe, and it is the purpose of this bibliography to gather together the more recent literature citations into a single source while providing a brief review of the "state of the art."
