Publication #: MP-111.02 Publication Author(s): |
Description:
Rangeland monitoring is a valuable tool in the management of private and public rangelands to evaluate and improve grazing strategies and provide communication venues with agency managers and the public. This WYO Range Fact sheet discusses why it is important to monitor rangelands, the need to develop monitoring locations and objectives, what resources are available to provide grazing permittees with the monitoring tools they need to collect credible data, and the value of cultivating positive, trusting relationships with the managers of public lands and ultimately the public.
