Publication #: B-919R Publication Author(s): |
Description:
Several diseases can cause yield loss and stand decline of irrigated alfalfa in Wyoming. The presence and severity of alfalfa diseases varies throughout the state. Differing climates, geography, soil types, and agronomic practices create conditions favorable for certain diseases. Guide for selecting alfalfa varieties with disease resistance for Wyoming provides a comprehensive and up-to-date list of certified alfalfa varieties with disease resistance that are sufficiently winterhardy for use in Wyoming. The 12-page bulletin lists the different disease zones in the state and identifies the principal alfalfa diseases for each area. By using this information, producers will learn what diseases are common in their individual areas.
