An important part of being a 4-H member is choosing a club, participating in monthly meetings and working with fellow club members to determine club goals, plan activities (like fundraisers or events) and work collaboratively to achieve those goals. Older 4-Hers model leadership for younger members, showing them how to make motions, engage in discussion and voting and other essentials for conducting official meetings.
Sheridan County has nine 4-H clubs.
Another great opportunity for Sheridan county pre-4-Hers is Cloverbuds, an exploratory program for youth 5-7 years old who are interested in 4-H. The Cloverbud group meets the Third Tuesday of the month from 5:30-6:30 pm at the Sheridan County Extension office. Contact the Extension Office at sheridan.county@uwyo.edu for more information.
