Chloe Willenborg is the new 4-H youth development educator working in the University of Wyoming Extension’s Sweetwater County Office.

Willenborg received her bachelor’s degree in animal science from Colorado State University in 2022 and earned a graduate certificate in teaching from UW in May 2026.

Willenborg has extensive experience in supporting positive youth development. Most recently, she worked as a substitute teacher in both Sweetwater County school districts. She also worked as a seventh and eighth grade science teacher in Newnan, Georgia, for two years. As a teacher, she planned curricula, created a supportive learning environment and helped students apply their knowledge to real-world questions.

In 2023, Willenborg worked as a 4-H program assistant in Fayette County, Georgia. In this role, she collaborated with volunteers and community partners; led a 4-H club for homeschooled students; and supported field trips, camps and other events. She also developed new programming focused on science and agriculture, including an agriculture club and a dairy judging team.

Willenborg’s involvement with 4-H started in her childhood. As a youth, she participated in 4-H and FFA in Missouri City, Texas, focusing on livestock projects and leadership.

“I am especially drawn to this role because of its focus on community engagement and its connection to agricultural and rural communities,” Willenborg said. “I am excited to contribute to Sweetwater County by building strong relationships with youth, families, volunteers and community partners while continuing to grow and strengthen 4-H programming.”
